Daniel is the owner of Sprenten.com and runs his own technology business. He majored in Physical Education at Illinois State University and has taken Masters level courses in Biomechanics and Biology. In his relatively short career as a coach has helped coach 19 State Qualifiers, 3 State Medalists, and 6 School Records in track at Olympia HS, 6 USATF or AAU National Qualifiers in Multi-Events, 3 State Qualifiers in Cross Country at Olympia MS. He has also been an adviser to several other athletes at the High School level who have became state qualifiers and medalists. He considers these accomplishments nothing in comparison to his increase in participation rates and the relationships he has developed with his athletes and the lives they now lead.
Daniel credits these people with his success and development as a coach, Michael Neisler and David Stine at Olympia High School, Mike Turk from the U of I, Karl Geissler from Gill Athletics, and Mike Clark his former HS coach. His friends Joe Dougherty, Rob Carter, and Brett Carter have also been instrumental in his development as well as the members of Elitetrack especially Mike Young, David Kerin, and Carl Valle. He also credits three former professors with his educational development, Drs Steve McCaw, Tony Amorose, and Pete Smith who brought him away from distance related exercise physiology related curriculum’s which permeate throughout academia.
